Introduction
This is the Essex Institute psychosexual diploma course developed by Terence Watts which has now been updated (2025) and reorganised. It is an intensive course leading to a Diploma in working with psychosexual dysfunction disorders, which will teach you how to work confidently with most problems in this area.
What does the course cover?
In this Psychosexual Dysfunction Diploma course we cover most problems experienced by both male and female clients. You will learn how to work competently and effectively with:

- Vaginismus
- Anorgasmia
- Premature Ejaculation
- Sexual Aversion Disorder
- Dyspareunia (pain on intercourse)

The course includes a selection of hypnosis scripts, and registered BWRT Practitioners will also receive a corresponding set of BWRT Protocols.

Course Level
This course is aimed at professional therapists wishing to help their clients overcome psychosexual problems. It assumes that you are appropriately trained and are currently in clinical practice.
How the Course is Structured
This is an online course, conducted over Zoom. The main focus is on the theory work and we screen-share slides to show some visuals and highlight the main points of theory. Sessions are recorded for later viewing.
For those working towards the Diploma, there are homework assignments to be completed after each lesson, and a multiple-choice ‘take home’ exam to complete at the end.

Certification and Diploma
You will receive a certificate of attendance on completion of the course.
On successful completion of the homework and final assessment you will also receive a Diploma in Psychosexual Dysfunction, issued by EICH Norfolk.
About the Presenter
June Hale

June is our resident lecturer, and a busy full-time hypnotherapist and BWRT practitioner in private practice, helping clients to overcome all manner of psychological difficulties. She trained as a hypnotherapist with Terence Watts at the Essex Institute in Southend and stayed on to work there as a Teaching Assistant after qualifying in December 2006. She has been teaching hypno/psychotherapy-based courses at her own schools since 2008 and is also an Accredited BWRT Trainer.
June is a Fellow of the APHP (Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy) and an accredited member of several other professional organisations. She is also an Executive Director at UKCHO (UK Confederation of Hypnotherapy Organisations).
